Publications on Hawthorn Financial Review have a main thesis. Either exploring a core topic, examining a theory or putting forth new ideas. Based on the nature of the publication, sufficient proof pertaining to the topic must be provided.

Empirical theories must be backed up by relevant data while theoretical proofs or explorations of theories must sufficiently explain the emergence of the concept at hand.

Do not make investment recommendations or provide prescriptive investment advice.

Submissions are reviewed by an editor or editors and may undergo several editing phases prior to publishing.

How to Submit

Adhere to the guidelines mentioned above and to general norms about producing academic work.

Standalone articles should be 750–1500 words while academic papers are expected to be longer.

Understand that by submitting, you consent to have your work published in the public domain. If you do not wish for this, or if you have had the same work published elsewhere not on the public domain, then do not submit.

Do not expect payment. This is a strictly voluntary, academic website and not commercial.
